Step 1: Important to have a correct belt placement

Step 1: Make sure the sensor is already connected, and the clips in a good position for your patients waistline.
Step 2: Lower and fold the pants to have a good reach to the pelvic area.
Step 3: Palpate the SIPS and place the belt centrally to the skin.
Step 4: Move the belts forward (below iliac crest) and let your close the close the belt, while you secure the central position of the sensor.
Step 5: Fold back the pants over the belt with it’s loose ends. You are now ready to start your assessment!


Solve your technical problems with our tips

Step 1: Check if the sensor wireless connection and location are switched on for our application (Go to device settings; locations).
Step 2: Check if the sensor has not been connected to another device nearby (this can happen automatically when previously connected).
Step 3: Check that the sensor has sufficient battery level (above 10%).
Step 4: Make sure that the coin-cell battery is positioned properly in the sensor.

If none of these suggestions work:
Step 1: Forcely close your application in the background, then re-open the runeasi application and try reconnecting again.
Step 2: Take out the coin-cell battery for 10 seconds to initiate a quick reset of your sensor.

Step 1: Check that the sensor is within the wireless range of the sensor (i.e., less than 25 m).
Step 2: Make sure that the runeasi belt and sensor are correctly positioned and securely attached (Runeasi should be readable on the sensor while standing).
Step 3: Check that the sensor has sufficient battery level (above 10%).

If everything above is correct:
Try a quick reset of your sensor by taking out the battery for 10 seconds.

1. No motion artifacts. The Runeasi belt is secured tightly against the body and the skin to capture the actual movements of the body’s center of mass. Attaching or clipping the sensor directly to the pants would allow the sensor to wobble from side to side (i.e., measuring the wobbling of the pants, and not the human body.

2.  Easy to standardize the sensor’s positioning. The Runeasi belt makes it easy to consistently position the sensor close to the center of mass. Attaching the sensor directly to the pants would dramatically affect the reliability of the outputs as the height and tightness of the pants will affect the results. Moreover, these pants attachments often shift sideways while running which further decreases the data quality.
