New Runeasi 2.0 App Eelease

Runeasi 2.0 app is now live

March 12, 2026 — We are proud to announce that the new Runeasi 2.0 app has been released to all of our customers. “After months of building, testing, and refining, our development team has delivered a complete rebuild from the ground up. A new environment and improved user experience, with the same validated data and updated insights,” says CTO Tim op de Béeck.

The decision to rebuild from scratch was driven by ambition, not necessity. The previous app served our users well, and this new version takes that strong base and elevates every part of it. It runs even faster than before, with improved sensor connectivity that allows for near-instant response times. Open your app on your tablet and start your assessment. It is really that simple and effective.

“We have built something we are genuinely proud of, and more importantly, something that makes the work of our users meaningfully better, every single day,” says CEO Kurt Schütte.

Updates

The first thing users will notice is the refined interface and faster navigation. The app has been built around real clinical workflows and will allow for faster decision-making based on clear, actionable insights. This goes hand in hand with the seamless, automatic sensor management and optimised testing protocols, allowing for frictionless daily use.

New in-app education screens and clearer knowledge panels are also built in, guiding users and their patients through the data as they go, with deeper built-in layers of interpretation and insights across running and jumping tests.

New metric, colour-coding & reports

Flight Time joins the platform as a new spatiotemporal metric, reflecting how effectively force is applied during push-off and offering deeper insight into leg recovery, overstriding patterns, and landing mechanics. A valuable new dimension to the analysis you were already delivering.

We have also introduced the ability to personalise metric colours. You can now switch metrics from red to blue, helping clients stay motivated and engaged when reviewing their data, without losing any of the clinical information underneath.

Reporting has been expanded with two powerful new options. The three-page Extended Session Report gives a comprehensive, structured overview that runners can genuinely understand. The new Trend Report visualises how Runeasi metrics evolve across sessions, helping you track progress, identify patterns, and communicate results with confidence.

Co-creation with our users

Before launch day, over 100 users (sport physiotherapists) signed up for pre-launch testing, putting the new app through its paces in real clinical environments two full weeks before the official release. Their feedback shaped the final product, and their enthusiasm for what they found was the best confirmation we could have asked for. “We were overwhelmed with the interest from our users to test the pre-release app. Their final feedback has given us the ability to finetune everything. This wasn’t just validation, but collaboration.”, said CTO Tim op de Béeck.

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our entire team. The “break the production app” afternoons spent methodically stress-testing every corner of the app are what made this launch what it is. This release carries the fingerprints of a team that genuinely cares about getting it right.

How to transfer to the new app

All existing users have received step-by-step guidance on how to transition by e-mail. Simply open the old app, tap Sync Now in Settings to back up your data to the cloud, then close the old app and download the new Runeasi app from the App Store or Google Play. Log in with your existing account and all your data will transfer automatically. The old app remains available for a short period to ensure everyone can make the move at their own pace. Our team can be reachec via [email protected] for any questions.

What's next? This is only the beginning

We are deeply proud of what the team has built, and even more excited about what comes next. In the coming months, we will be rolling out expanded testing protocols, deeper clinical insights, and in-app education designed to grow alongside every practitioner who uses Runeasi. This is only the start of what is going to be possible.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Now go explore, and keep your runners healthy and performing at their best.
